About Us

Culinary adventures have always been a part of my life. I grew up with a mother who is a fabulous, inventive cook, but not a successful baker. She based our daily menus around organic meats, local produce, and international flavors. We did not have many processed sugared items available in the kitchen, but if I made a desert “from scratch” that was always allowed. To satisfy my incredible sweet-tooth, I set out at an early age to conquer advanced pastry projects and attempt to duplicate every item on the cover of Maida Heater’s Best Dessert Book Ever.

Over the years, working with fine jewelry and gemstones won over baking for employment purposes, but I never stopped trying new recipes. Recently, I became disappointed with what the market had to offer when surveying the cookie and biscuit departments in fine grocery stores. I found them to be overly sweet, often excessive in size, and the flavors were not very interesting. This was surprising since there are so many options now for world spices and cooking supplies.

I felt I could do something better. I wanted to explore new taste combinations, use high-end, clean ingredients with no preservatives or artificial additives, and maintain an elegant cookie to be enjoyed by many ages.

As a result, I developed a modern shortbread with a tender crumble – traditional but with a twist. My biscuits and cookies are very simple yet deliver a kick of flavor.

Each cookie is made by hand using only the freshest, all natural ingredients. There are also anti-oxidant advantages of fine, dark chocolate, dried chilies, raw cacao nibs, and pure green tea. I am also very aware of the growing allergies and health concerns in today’s world. Therefore, I am striving to create flavorful cookies that are free of the following;

  • No Eggs
  • No Nuts and Seeds
  • No Trans Fat
  • No Preservatives/Additives /Sulphites
